OPERATION: Restore Hope creates Child Safe Spaces in Ukrainian schools. Ukrainian children are particularly resilient, but every child in Ukraine has become a victim of the war. All have family members who are either fighting, have been injured, displaced, or killed. Due to bombing, children in Ukraine attend school underground or often have to go to bomb shelters on an almost daily basis.

Child Safe Spaces are special places where Ukraine’s children have a place to heal: a dedicated room with furniture, equipment, materials where these children can express their emotional responses to the war in a safe space. But a child safe space is more than the room and activities, it also brings the mental health professionals (psychologists and social workers) who can provide the care each of these children so desperately need.
